Step back in time with us and witness the inspiring journey of faith, courage, and community as thesse pioneering sisters transformed lives in 19th century Leavenworth, Kansas. This production honors the extraordinary courage, faith, and dedication of the Oblate Sistersof Providence, who arrived in Leavenworth, Kansas, in the late 1800s to serve over 2,000 African American children for 71 years creating a legacy of hope and education. This play was put on by the Freedom Fund of the Leavenworth, Kansas NAACP.

The 2020-2021 READ title was the graphic novel, The Best We Could Do by author and illustrator Thi Bui. Fall project included Read-Aloud sessions and Q&A discussion on book themes.
